John Hershenberg

God gave John a Word in January of 2006 that he would begin to write songs that would bless thousands of people around the world. Shortly afterwards the inspiration began to flow and John began to write songs for his local church.  Along with his co-worship leader at church, Stephanie Valderrama, he began to record these songs for Stephanie’s debut CD, many of which Stephanie helped to co-write. During the writing process, Stephanie and John met another songwriting friend Kimia Penton, and the three of them began to round-up other songwriters in the Dallas- Ft. Worth area to create a monthly living room forum for song-sharing. One thing lead to another, and 9 months later, the Texas Christian Songwriters Association was birthed as John and Stephanie travelled throughout the state forming local chapters.  Now over 300 members strong, the TexasCSA is quickly becoming a voice for Christian music. Through its own internet radio station, church partnership concerts and other special events, the TexasCSA mission continues to be “getting our members music heard”.  John looks forward to sharing his future plans about the organization’s growth and expansion with the attendees at the 2010 TexasCSA Summer Training Conference.
